Dunkin Donuts

It was only a minor news story, but very interesting to me.

A Massachusetts man is suing Dunkin' Donuts because he was given a substitute butter when he asked for real butter on his bagel.

You may be wondering where I am going with this?

New Era has been doing this same thing for years...

The first time I realized that I was duped by New Era was either 1993 or 94.

Remember these caps?  Worn from 1993-98 by the Reds.

Exhibit No 1

On the left is a Damon Berryhill game worn cap that I own. On the right is the retail that New Era sold to the public.  Notice the eyelets?  Look at the logo!!

If that is not bad enough, the material is not the same.

The on-field model was made of nylon

The retail version was 100% wool.

Exhibit No. 2

Look closely..it won't take you long to spot the difference.

In 2005, the Baltimore Orioles started wearing this cap on the field.

On the left is the on-field version, on the right is a retail version.  Yikes!

July 4, 2008 Yankees Stars and Stripes cap

Find the difference?

Look at the button.  The on-field is the cap on the left.

Exhibit No 4

Tampa Bay Rays Turn Back The Clock Cap

If you can't see the difference you should not be driving.

The garbage they sold the public is on the left while the on-field version is on the right.

All that is left to say is...

Really?????
