On line dating

I have never had the opportunity to try online dating.

I have to say, it does look interesting.

Has anyone else noticed that the market is getting, let's say...brand specific?

You can probably figure out where I am going with this.

Oh yes, online dating service for cap collectors!!!

How about:

LooseLids.com
or
Findyourlid.net

I have been working on the questionnaire.

Try this on....

Ladies questionnaire (1-10 scale):

1.  How important is head size?

2.  Do you prefer a snapback or a fitted?

3.  How important is color?

4.  How would you describe your peaks?

5.  Do you prefer a grey or black underbrim?

6.  Would you spend a romantic weekend in Derby, NY?

7.  How many caps would you like to have?

8.  What is the last cap you bought?

9.  How many caps do you think you will own in five years?

10.  If you could travel back in time, what is the one cap you wish you still had?

Male Questionnaire (1-10) scale:

1.  Do you prefer untouched or broken in?

2.  What would you consider to be your holy grail?

3.  Have you ever gone with Non USA materials?

4.  Do you take the flag off the side of New Era caps?

5.  Do you have caps on display in your bedroom?

6.  Do you live with your parents?

7.  Do you have any type of job?

8.  Are you athletic (managing a fantasy team does not count).

9.  If you only had six months to live, which caps would you wear?

10.  What is your favorite genre of caps?

Ron Blomberg

Ron Blomberg spent eight years in MLB and has a lifetime average of .293.

He spent most of his time with the Yankees.

In 2007, he managed a team in the Israeli Professional Baseball League.

But wait...he was the first Designated Hitter in MLB history?

On April 6, 1973, in his first plate appearance as a DH, he was walked by Luis Tiant with the bases loaded.

Before I bought this cap, I had no idea who Ron Blomberg was.

I saw an old cap and a logo that I didn't recognize.

The seller had it listed as belonging to Ron Blomberg when he played for the White Sox.

A quick interned search let me know that this is his cap when he played with the Syracuse Chiefs in 1970 and 1971.

Buyer Beware!!

This cap was recently listed on ebay as a "Vintage 80's San Diego Padres "SD" MLB New Era  Pro Model Game Worn Cap Hat Rare!

Wow...that is some intro.

At first glance, without even looking at the tags on the inside, the logo is not even close to the cap that the Padres wore in 1969.

Here is the real McCoy..

But what make this even worse..

The above cap is not fitted, it's a snapback.  With the plastic display attachment!

Let's move on to another recently listed cap...

Vtg Montreal Expos New Era Wool Baseball Cap Hat MLB Baseball made in usa 139

Wow!!!! Who new?

This is actually the Carlsbad Bats of the Pecos league.

Carlsbad is a city in New Mexico, not Canada.

The seller of this cap is from New Mexico and I bet he knows who the team really is.
